    纺织品的应用范围从服装、家居用品、家具和地毯到医用技术纺织品、汽车内饰,户外应用如张拉织物结构、帐篷和背包等户外休闲产品、遮阳篷、起重吊索带子等等。这些产品跨越各种物质化学反应,从棉花、羊毛和竹纤维等自然产品,到聚酯、聚烯烃、聚酰胺等聚合物,再到如用于保护装置和重型起重应用的聚芳纶纤维等高性能材料。


    染色或其他有色纺织品在暴露于热、光(包括紫外线和可见光)和湿气的组合条件下,会褪色或变色。此外,天然或合成聚合物也会失去机械强度。因此,必须对纺织品进行适当的测试,以确定它们在暴露环境中的稳定性和耐久性。

Application-specific methods, such as for automotive interior, often use these same methods or are modified in OEM or other standards and specifications.
